PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Dr. Joy Erlichman Miller, who has provided mental health and awareness services across Central Illinois, died suddenly on Saturday.

Dr. Miller was founder and director of Joy Miller & Associates in Peoria. She was a Certified Master Addictions Counselor, participated in over 150 conferences internationally, and worked with over 15,000 participants in the past 20 years.

Dr. Miller has been a longtime professional trainer for Health Communications, Inc., and her professional expertise, energy, enthusiasm and humor made her a speaker in high demand throughout the country.

She wrote several books on relationships, recovery, inner child healing and provided assistance to Holocaust survivors.
