PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Firefighters were called Sunday night to find a greenhouse in North Peoria engulfed in flames, but the fire did not spread to a house nearby.

The Peoria Fire Department was called about 8:25 p.m. to the 1100 block of East Koch Drive, near North Galena Road.

The greenhouse, containing plants, tools, and other items in storage, is a total loss, said Battalion Chief Rick Waldron.

There was no damage to other buildings, including a house that was about 25 feet away, according to the chief. He said firefighters stayed on the scene for an hour putting out hot spots.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is undetermined, said Waldron.

Damage is estimated at $10,000.
