SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Our new high school sports streaming show ‘Frozen Frenzy’ has officially started!

Week one went off with a bang; with brand new teams, highlights, and matchups in hockey and basketball, but we’re not the only ones fired up about the winter sports season.

Western Mass News checked in with the coaches at some of this week’s games to get their outlook on this season.

Tim Allen, the Head Coach for the Longmeadow High School Girls Basketball, tells us, “When we get into league play, every night is going to be a battle. And so, I know my girls are both excited and like, whoa, you know, we know there’s no nights off here at all. So that’s going to be a fun challenge.”
