LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - With a Big 12 Championship trophy now sitting proudly on Texas Tech’s campus, there’s also more donations rolling in for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest- especially after two fourth-quarter sacks in the Red Raiders’ 34-7 win over the BYU Cougars last Saturday in Arlington.
The two late sacks came:
4Q , 14:54 - A.J. Holmes sacked BYU QB Bear Bachmeier for a loss of 18yds on the Cougars 24yd line, leading to a fumble recovered by linebacker Romello Height.
4Q , 4:15- Linebacker David Bailey sacked Bachmeier on the BYU 31 for a loss of seven yards, leading to a fumble recovered by Bachmeier.
Lubbock’s Ronald McDonald House chapter was featured Saturday morning during KCBD’s Big 12 Championship pre-game special.
