Voters in Miami will head back to the polls on Tuesday to cast their ballots for their next mayor in the runoff elections, and on the ballot, there is also a controversial race for city commissioner

The general election was held back in November, but several of those races headed to runoffs.

There’s a runoff for District 3, where Frank Carollo boasted his accomplishments during his previous commission tenure from 2009 to 2017.

He’s been a forensic accountant for many years and won last month's election with 38% of the vote.

His opponent is Rolando Escalona, who came in second, taking 17% of the vote, and he is a newcomer in politics.

He built a career in the restaurant industry and is now a general manager at a high-end eatery.
