HAMILTON — Forge FC has confirmed the departure of winger David Choiniere after seven seasons with the Canadian Premier League powerhouse.
The 28-year-old Choiniere has been linked to expansion FC Supra by Quebec media.
Choiniere, whose younger brother is Canadian international Mathieu Choiniere, made 191 appearances across all competitions with Forge, recording 31 goals and 27 assists.
Choiniere helped Forge to four CPL championships (2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023) and scored some memorable goals for the Hamilton-based side.
He scored the club’s first-ever CONCACAF competition winner in 2019 (against Guatemala's Antigua GFC) and became the first CPL player to score in the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 2022 (against Cruz Azul in a 3-1 loss at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium in 2022). Choiniere al
