A man who was shot and killed by police after a pursuit in Manchester, New Hampshire over the weekend has been identified as the investigation into the incident continues, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said Monday.

The man who died was identified as Nickenley Turenne, 24, of Manchester.

The AG's office said the situation started around 4:43 p.m. Saturday when police responded to the area of South Mammoth Road in Manchester for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Inside, police found a man - later identified as Turenne - asleep at the wheel and a woman asleep in the passenger seat. When the man woke up, police say he sped off.
