GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A number of school systems in Eastern Carolina say they are delaying the start of classes Tuesday due to winter weather concerns.
Craven, Duplin, Jones, Onslow, Pamlico and Tyrrell Counties all say their school systems will be on a two-hour delay Tuesday due to the weather.
Beaufort County Schools will also be on a two-hour delay and says its early college high school will follow the community college’s delay schedule, which is set to open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Craven Community College will have a delayed start as well, with staff reporting at 10 a.m. and classes starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Monday, many school systems in Eastern Carolina were either closed or had early releases due to the forecasted winter weather and potentially hazardous road conditions.
