After 987 regular season games, Craig Smith has called it a career.
The former Boston Bruins forward made the announcement Monday through Magnuson Hockey Agency.
“To my teammates — I wanted nothing more than to give you all I had, every night. I’m so grateful for the lifelong friendships I’ve made throughout the years. I’ll miss the locker room dearly," Smith said in a statement .
“Thank you again to the Nashville Predators, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks, and Detroit Red Wings for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to represent your crests,” he added . “It was my greatest honor. I’m not sure what the future holds for me yet, but for now I look forward to building our family and enjoying the start of the New Year.”
