ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) -An Osceola man entered a guilty plea to child porn charges on Monday.

Court documents state Cassidy Simpson, of Osceola, pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of child porn. Simpson was sentenced to 15 years in prison for each count.

In the probable cause statement, on Feb. 28, deputies with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a found phone. When trying to identify the owner, deputies saw photos believed to be child porn on the phone. Simpson later stated that the phone was his and that he threw it off a bridge.

Deputies also learned that Simpson had broken his laptop earlier in the day and threw it in a fire pit. After being granted a search warrant for both devices, deputies located over 100 sexually explicit photos of minors
