The M8 is currently restricted due to a multi-vehicle crash.
Officials have warned motorists to expect delays and approach with caution as debris is on the road.
The incident began around 9.39pm on Monday, December 8 and took place between Junctions two and three.
Lane one is currently restricted due to the incident and drivers should be cautious while driving in the Uphall area.
A photo from the scene seems to show vehicles clustered on the road with blue lights coming from one vehicle.
A warning from Traffic Scotland read: "The M8 between Junction 2 and Junction 3 is currently partially blocked Westbound due to a road traffic incident.
"Lane 1 is currently restricted. Road users should approach with caution due to debris on the carriageway."
