The Los Angeles Chargers’ backfield is getting some reinforcements just in time for the team’s Monday night showdown against the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers activated running backs Hassan Haskins, a former Wolverine, and Omarion Hampton from injured reserve, with both expected to be active for Monday’s game.

Hampton is expected to assume his No. 1 role in the backfield, while Haskins should serve as a depth option in a pivotal game for the Chargers (8-4), who currently occupy a wild card spot in the AFC. Hampton has been out since suffering a fractured ankle in Week 5, while Haskins suffered a hamstring injury in Week 7 and has missed the past five games.
