Wicked: For Good hasn’t had the uproarious, culture-dominating reaction that its predecessor received , as predicted by everyone who knows the original musical ( act one is the fun part ), but the movie just received a rather disappointing backhanded compliment from the Golden Globes : It was nominated for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award , also known as the worst, most condescending award they have . That on its own isn’t extremely rude, but Wicked: For Good wasn’t even nominated for Best Picture (Musical or Comedy), so this nomination is less about it being a good movie and more about the Globes just wanting to nominate it for something .
