Spartacus: House of Ashur official teaser on STARZ

A "gem" of a historical drama has returned, and this time it's brought an Outlander legend along for the ride. Viewers can't seem to get their fill of historical dramas, be it The Crown, Vikings or Peaky Blinders , which is set to return next year with its highly anticipated film.

So when word got out that the Spartacus franchise was being revived, MGM+ subscribers were thrilled, particularly as it's come back with an intriguing twist. Spartacus: House of Ashur, which launched 12 years after the original series concluded, takes place in an alternative timeline where antagonist Ashur (played by Nick Tarrabay) escaped his brutal demise.
