An Aurora home was left uninhabitable after a fire Saturday, according to the Aurora Fire Department.

At around 4:54 p.m. on Saturday, the fire department responded to a reported structure fire in the 2400 block of Crescent Lane on Aurora’s far East Side, according to a news release from the department.

Upon arrival, units reported smoke showing from the rear of a single-family home, the release said. The homeowner confirmed that all occupants of the home had evacuated safely.

Firefighters made entry and found a fully involved fire in a workshop area in the rear of the home, the release said, and a hose line was deployed to contain and extinguish the fire, while crews did primary searches and ventilated the home.
