British boozers are set to hike the cost of food and beverages following announcements made in the Autumn Budget, punters have been cautioned. Based on a fresh survey of landlords carried out by the British Institute of Innkeeping, a staggering 90% of the 205 participants indicated they would be putting up drinks prices.

A further 71% revealed plans to raise food costs, 45% were considering reducing trading hours, and 41% may scale back services. The survey took place in the wake of Rachel Reeves ' Autumn Budget, and prior to a swathe of fresh business rate tax hikes due next year.
