MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The case against the man accused of killing Houston-based rapper “Sayso P” is now headed to a grand jury for indictment.
On Friday, Kevin “KJ” Brown appeared in court for a preliminary hearing on charges including first-degree murder.
He’s accused in the March 22 shooting death of 27-year-old Letorian Hunt, better known by his rapper name, “Sayso P.” Houston rapper Sauce Walka was also wounded in the shooting.
During Friday’s hearing, the court heard three hours of testimony from 10 witnesses and also reviewed extensive video evidence.
The case is now headed to a grand jury for indictment.
Brown’s next court date has not yet been scheduled. He remains behind bars on a $2 million bond.
