A teenager tragically died after taking part in a TikTok trend, her devastated family has said.

Tiegan Jarman, 13, is thought to have tried 'chroming' - a form of abusing solvents which has been widely shared on social media.

The youngster was found unresponsive in her bedroom in Thurmaston, Leicestershire, in March this year.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of medics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family is now hoping to raise awareness of the dangers of social media, including the practice of chroming which involves inhaling toxic fumes from common household items to get a temporary buzz.
