NEW YORK -- Stuart Scott, the late ESPN Sports Center anchor, continues to make an impact more than a decade after his death.
The Stuart Scott Memorial Cancer Research Fund has awarded more than $22 million to 64 grantees to address disparities in cancer outcomes.
"The Stuart Scott Fund honors Stuart's belief that everyone deserves a fair chance in the cancer fight," said Dr. Susanna Greer, Ph.D.
Greer is the chief scientific officer for the V Foundation, which is named for famed coach Jimmy Valvano.
Stuart Scott's foundation partners with the V Foundation. Its big fundraiser takes place this week with the annual Jimmy V basketball classic and Boo-Yah gala -a celebration of Stuart Scott.
