Three people have been charged in the beating death of a man in Bessemer.
Jimmy Lee Wells, 41, Antwaniqua Vannae Smith, 31, and Ronald Ray Ross Jr., 37, are charged with capital murder in the slaying of Jarrett Kevar Parker, according to court records made public Monday.
Charging documents allege the trio was robbing Parker of his clothing. The suspects are accused of punching, kicking, and stomping the victim as well as beating him with a gun.
The attack happened midday on Nov. 26. It wasn’t immediately clear when or where Parker died.
Additional details have not been released and efforts to reach Bessemer police have been unsuccessful.
All three suspects were booked into the Jefferson County Jail on Saturday and remain held without bond.
