LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) -After years of stalled negotiations, legal disputes and public pushback, the Lake Shore Hospital Authority on Monday approved the final documents needed to transfer the long-vacant Lake Shore Hospital building to Meridian Behavioral Healthcare.

Trustees unanimously approved Resolution 2025-004, which affirms the land-use agreement negotiated with the City of Lake City. The Board also approved two addendums tied to the transfer, one outlining how Meridian will be reimbursed for more than $2.3 million in renovation and repair costs, and another resolving the city zoning conflict that has slowed the project for months. Trustee Lory Chancy dissented on both addendums.
