ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. —

The Anderson County Coroner's Office is responding to a crash on Interstate 85.

Just before 8:25 p.m. Monday, a pre-alert was sent out that says the coroner's office is responding to I-85 at mile marker 39, which is near the Exit to River Road.

The coroner's office said one vehicle was involved in the crash.

Officials said one person is dead. The victim's name has not been released.

Details of the crash are not available at this time.

As of 8:30 p.m., the South Carolina Department of Transportation is not reporting a slow down in the area.
