WHITEHALL, Ohio — A Whitehall city councilman was arrested and charged Monday after being accused of sexual misconduct with minors, according to police.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Police Chief Mike Crispen said officers executed an arrest warrant and search warrant at Gerald Dixon’s house. He was taken into custody without incident and was charged with compelling prostitution and gross sexual imposition, both felony charges.

Crispen said a multi-state investigation began when allegations were first brought to the police in 2020 and 2021. Crispen added that the first victim police spoke with detailed allegations from 1996.
