Data center’s impact can be calculated

In regard to data centers, it would be amazing if they did not know everything from square footage to electricity needs and reserve, plus the water needs (a reminder: we are in a severe drought).

What kind of power rates and load shed at peak times is Google getting? I suspect the estimate of generators only running 100 hours a year is related to a favorable power rate under regular circumstances. Extreme weather could call for a load shed and the need for generators.
