LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Charles Tilley reunited with former WLKY news anchor Liz Everman at the annual WLKY and Wednesday's Child Adoptathon on Monday, marking a heartfelt reunion decades in the making.

In 1981, Everman featured an 8-year-old Tilley in a segment while he was in foster care.

"It kind of gives me the chills. You know, I look back at that video that we did, and I was just happy, little kid. And, you know, the look on her face was just, it was, I keep saying the word genuine, but, you know, her smile was a genuine smile and she really just made me feel at ease," Tilley said.

Not long after the segment aired, Tilley was adopted. He later graduated from Waggener High School and became a father. Three years ago, he reconnected with his sister, Erricka Coleman, after posting the res
