On Tuesday at 1:11 a.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Wednesday between 1 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Mercer, Venango, Forest, Clarion and Jefferson counties.
The weather service states to expect, "Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches, locally up to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes," states the weather service. "Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X @NWSPittsburgh."
