A toddler was hit and killed by a pickup truck in a Long Island driveway on Saturday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.

The two-year-old was struck by a Ram 1500 truck just before 1 p.m. in his family’s driveway in Mount Sinai, according to police and local outlet Greater Long Island .

Police have not released the child’s name, age or gender, but the local outlet reported the victim was a young boy who lived at the address. The boy was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he died, according to authorities.

The kid’s parents — a 44-year-old mother and 43-year-old father — have also not been identified by police but were on the scene as first responders
