Several flights have been cancelled at Manchester Airport today, December 9. Passengers are being urged to check the latest updates with their flights as Storm Bram brings fierce winds and heavy rain to much of the UK and Ireland .
Twelve flights have been cancelled to and from Manchester this morning. Most are operated by Irish airline Aer Lingus. It's understood the cancellations are due to a staffing issue.
Downpours have affected Greater Manchester this morning (December 9) and overnight, while occasional gusty winds are expected in the region. But other parts of the UK and Ireland are braced for more fierce conditions. The Met Office has issued 10 weather warnings for either wind or rain.
