WASHINGTON —
President Donald Trump is visiting Pennsylvania Tuesday to discuss the economy as the White House addresses affordability and tests different messaging ahead of next year's midterm elections.
Despite the president's assertion that prices are generally down, polling consistently shows faltering public trust in his economic leadership.
According to a new Harvard-Harris poll , more than half of voters believe Trump is losing the battle against inflation , with concerns about affordability persisting under his administration. Two other recent surveys indicate that consumer confidence is generally down as well.
