Paris Olympian Max McCusker is named among a list of seven new athletes taking part in the event, dubbed the 'steroid Olympics', a privately-funded multi-sport event where athletes are allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs under medical supervision.

McCusker will join his former Ireland teammate Shane Ryan, who announced he was taking part in the Enhanced Games two months ago. The event will take place in Las Vegas over four days next May.

The 26-year-old McCusker, originally from Glastonbury, England, is the Irish record holder in the 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly and is an Irish national champion in the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle.
