A school went into lockdown this morning after a boy was reportedly threatened with a weapon. South Wirral High School, in Eastham, Wirral was locked down after a 15-year-old boy was reportedly threatened by two males with a bladed weapon on nearby Plymyard Avenue.
Merseyside Police were called at around 8.40am on Tuesday, December 9, and enquiries are ongoing to locate the two suspects, who fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident.
South Wirral High School issued a statement following the incident. It said: "Earlier today we implemented a brief precautionary lockdown due to information relating to individuals in the local community and not on our school site.
