WILLARD, Mo. (KY3) -People in Willard got the chance to share their thoughts Monday night on a proposed water and sewer rate increase.

The board discussed a presentation on a 15 percent rate increase. Several people who live in the city commented at the public hearing. They want the issue to go on the ballot so they can decide.

Willard’s Board said that, in 2013, they lowered the rates, and they haven’t been changed since. So, a rate increase would go toward making capital improvements in the growing city.
