Nuneaton hospital patients and visitors are being urged to wear masks amid rise in an infection. The George Eliot Hospital, like others across the country, has confirmed a rising number of cases in flu.

This, the 'Eliot has said, is earlier than expected and, as a result, its staff in the Emergency Department, Children’s Assessment Unit and other front-line emergency patient care areas, now must wear fluid resistant face masks

The local hospital is also urging patients and visitors to do the same to stop the spread. It is also urging locals with flu-like symptoms not to visit any loved ones currently being treated in hospital.
