A man was killed in a shooting in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood early Tuesday morning, officials said.

City police responded just before 2 a.m. to the 2300 block of East Hills Drive following reports of gunfire, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Officers found a man in the rear of the structure with a gunshot wound to the head, and began life-saving measures.

The man — whose identity was not immediately released — was taken by Pittsburgh EMS to a hospital in the area, where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not announce any arrests or identify any suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
