NIXA, Mo. (KY3) - Several Nixa families are hoping to be home for the holidays. They’ve been out of their home for months, thanks to a possible sinkhole.

“There’s no one that you could point a finger at and say this is so-and-so’s fault,” said developer Tyler Bussell.

Five homes on East Virginia Lane have been left without water or sewer service for the past four months. The damage put a hold on future building until repair plans were put in place.

Bussell says he did what he could to remedy the problem, but he says it was up to the city to take the lead.

“Once the city started providing those updates, we would echo those. But we still get asked Is there an update on our end? The answer is no,” he said.
