Amtrak’s newest route, the Mardi Gras service, has recently made the news after breaking a record no one saw coming , welcoming over 46,000 passengers since its debut on August 18, 2025. Roughly 96% of Amtrak customers report being “extremely satisfied” with this service, as 86% of travelers arrive on time at their final destination.
