Two teenage asylum seekers who raped a girl in a Warwickshire park should be deported. That is the recommendation being made by Warwick Crown Court Judge Sylvia De Bertodano.
Yesterday (December 8) Jan Jahanzeb and Israr Niazal, who are both aged 17, were sentenced for the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Newbold Comyn on May 10 of this year. The court heard how they had marched the girl, who was 'eight or nine out of ten drunk' across the park, to a secluded area and forced her to perform oral sex on them both.
Both defendants were unaccompanied child asylum seekers who arrived in the UK last year. Warwick Crown Court Judge Sylvia De Bertodano, who took the rare decision to allow the pair to be named, sentenced Jahanzeb to ten years, eight months' and Niazal to nine years and 10 month
