CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Orchestra isn’t balanced only in the musical sense. It’s also at the point of equilibrium financially.
In its 2024-25 annual statement, released early Monday, the orchestra reported its seventh straight balanced budget, along with a host of other glad fiscal and artistic tidings. The data paint the picture of an organization in sound financial health, well on its way toward ambitious long-term goals.
“It feels like we had an excellent year,” said Andre Gremillet, the orchestra’s president and chief executive officer. “We’re very happy with how the year went.”
On a budget of $66.5 million, nearly the same as fiscal 2024, the orchestra reported a surplus of $19,000.
Fixed expenses came to $42.8 million while operating and fundraising costs totaled $23.7
