Center Parks will be opening its first location in Scotland after planning permission was approved by local authorities.
CEO Colin McKinlay said: "As you may have heard yesterday, Scottish Borders Council granted conditional planning permission to Center Parcs Scottish Borders.
"We are delighted with this news and hugely appreciative for the enthusiasm and support we have encountered over the last year. This marks another step in our journey to bring Center Parcs to Scotland and I’m thrilled to announce that we will be calling this new development Center Parcs Scottish Borders."
The new location will allow guests to enjoy "rolling hills and open countryside"; historic houses and "impressive castles"; and diverse wildlife, Centre Parcs explains.
McKinlay said that construction will begin in 2026, workers will be recruited from 2028, and the site is likely to be open from Summer 2029.
He added: "I would like to reassure you that this is not the end of our community engagement. We will hold regular community drop-in events to share progress, answer questions and stay connected to the local area.
"Paul Hogarth remains our Community Liaison Officer. And our inbox remains open for anyone with questions – enquiries.scotland@centerparcs.co.uk. "
