McDonald's has brought back a popular product in response to huge customer demand. In January, the fast-food giant made an attempt to go green and decrease its plastic use and replaced plastic lids for hot drinks with a paper alternative.
But consumers were not happy with the change, complaining that the lids had a strange texture and sogginess. One person, posting to an account called @emmatwinmum even went as far as to say that the new lids had “totally ruined the whole coffee drinking experience".

The chain has now listened to its fans, who requested that the lids change back to their original plastic form.
