The death of a 47-year-old woman on Sunday, Dec. 7 is under investigation in South Brunswick, authorities said.

At 10:41 a.m., South Brunswick police responded to Redwood Court after requesting a welfare check, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka said.

Officers found Veronica Jones unresponsive and she was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
