Shohei Ohtani’s star power usually shows up in box scores and contract figures. However, every now and then, a story comes out that shows the Dodgers superstar is, what we call, a good man. Such is this story, revealed on December 8 by manager Dave Roberts on a Japanese broadcast.

The Dodgers have spent the past two years flexing on the league (Shohei Ohtani’s global reach, grabbing back-to-back World Series titles, etc.) But their main guy, the one a Yankees star claimed deserved the NL MVP, has been beautifully shaping the clubhouse in ways money can’t measure.
