Ariel Blair has been named the new head softball coach at El Paso's Pebble Hills High School.

Blair comes for a family of coaches and previously served as an assistant coach at Eastwood High School.

It's a new era for the Pebble Hills High school softball program with a familiar name.

El Pasoan Ariel Blair was hired to lead the Spartans program and was introduced as the coach on Monday, Dec. 8. It was the first time that Blair met the team and it was her first day on campus as a physical education teacher.

Blair, who is a former assistant coach at Eastwood High School, was a star player at Hanks High School, where she graduated in 2015. After her time at Hanks, she then started 147 games at UTEP, where she graduated in 2019.
