WASHINGTON, D.C. (KCRG) - Iowa U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley will co-introduce a first-of-its-kind legislation Tuesday morning, ABC News reports .

If this bill becomes law, it will criminalize intentional efforts to convince minors to attempt suicide or physically harm others.

Violators could spend the rest of their days in prison if someone dies.

The bill is a bipartisan push. Grassley is joined by Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin from Illinois.

Grassley says his bill will specifically target entities like 764 — an extremist online network that coerces minors to attempt suicide or try to kill another person.
