SEATTLE - The popular teddy-bear–shaped “Starbucks Bearista Cold Cup” is returning -- but this time it won’t be sold directly in stores. Instead, the unique cup will be offered as a prize in the company’s new mobile-game giveaway.
The Bearista Cold Cup first came out Nov. 6, 2025 -- part of Starbucks’ holiday merchandise. It’s a 20-ounce glass cup shaped like a bear, complete with a green beanie-style lid and a striped straw for cold drinks. It cost about $29.95.
But almost immediately, the cups sold out in stores all over the country.
In response, Starbucks released a statement saying the demand “exceeded even our biggest expectations.” The company apologized to fans who were disappointed.
