OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man arrested in a deadly shooting at Levi Carter Park in October will have his preliminary hearing in court Tuesday.
18-year-old Tranell Woodruff appeared in court on Oct. 28 for the charge of first-degree murder and his bond was denied . The charge could get Woodruff up to life in prison if convicted.
The suspect was booked at Douglas County Corrections following the murder of 27-year-old Dequrae Murrel. Murrel was shot on Oct. 5 and she died in the hospital the next day.
Police say Murrel was found at Kelly’s Liquor Store at 30th and Pinkney streets, miles away from where they believe the actual shooting took place.
