A badly damaged pickup truck was found in a ditch on Highway 17, near Frammpet Drive, in Blind River early last Friday.

The driver was taken to hospital, Ontario Provincial Police say. The vehicle was impounded.

Madysen Howarth, 27, of Thunder Bay, was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

Court date for the accused is Jan. 8 in Elliot Lake.
