LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The woman charged with killer her son and dumping his body in a suitcase in southern Indiana has now been indicted by a Jefferson County, Ky. grand jury.

The case was originally handled by the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office, but with evidence spanning both Indiana and Kentucky, the case has been handed over to the Jefferson County Kentucky Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

Dajaune Anderson has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder, manslaughter, criminal abuse and abuse of a corpse after five-year-old Cairo Jordan’s body was found in a suitcase in a wooded area in Washington County in April 2022.

Anderson was arrested in California almost two years later.

Police believe she killed her son at her Louisville home before she and another woman,
