Temperatures are frigid and the forecast calls for more snow, but there are several places to stay warm across metro Detroit.

The city of Detroit is under what's known as a "code blue" due to the cold and wintery conditions until the afternoon on Dec. 9, meaning anyone in need of emergency shelter can walk in. Meanwhile, warming centers are also available across Detroit and Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties.

Here are a list of respite spots, including hours of operation, and how to access emergency shelter if someone is experiencing homelessness:
