The Miami Marlins on Tuesday announced that the club’s 2026 Opening Day matchup vs. the Colorado Rockies has been moved from Thursday, March 26, to Friday, March 27, with first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET at loanDepot park. Fans will now be able to enjoy Opening Day under the lights, with a post-game fireworks show. Opening Day details and tickets are available now at Marlins.com/OpeningDay .

The Marlins, who originally were scheduled for an off-day on Friday, will now host the first Friday night Opening Day game in loanDepot park history. It is also the fourth time in ballpark history that Miami will open its season at home with a night game, and the first time since 2016, when the Marlins hosted the Detroit Tigers.
